  • Can I pay my parking ticket online or over the phone?
    No, the Borough of Carlisle is not set up to accept parking tickets online or over the phone.
  • The parking ticket I received says amount must be paid within 72 hours.  What if I cannot remit the payment within the 72 hours?
    If payment is not received within 72 hours for the Overtime Parking Violation, the amount increases to $20.  All other violations, the amount remains $15.
  • In bad weather, should I still follow the “No Parking” signs posted on my street?
    Yes, the “No Parking” is not only for street sweeping.  This can/will be used by emergency crews in the event of an emergency, by Public Works crews to repair a water main break and snow removal.
  • What should I do if my car is broken down and it cannot be moved.
    Contact the Parking Enforcement Department at 717.249.4422 to report the disabled vehicle.  You will need to know location, make, model and color of the vehicle as well as the license plate number.
  • I have fed a meter with coins and its either completely blank, didn’t register my money or jammed.  Should I just walk away and assume I won’t receive a ticket?
    Do not walk away from the parking meter until you make contact with the Parking Enforcement Department at 717.249.4422 to report the malfunctioning meter.
  • I received a parking ticket that I don’t agree with.  Is there anything I can do about it?
    You have the right to appeal your ticket within 72 hours.  The appeal form can be obtained at Borough Hall, 53 West South Street, Carlisle.
